Do not get discouraged... Be a Better Gospel Pianist

This post is just meant to encourage beginner gospel keyboardists that are still striving to understand some principles, styles or skills. In order to get become a pro, you need to keep doing what it is you need to do; which is constant practice.

If you expect that you'll become a pro without dedicated rehearsals and focus, you're wrong. This does not apply to music alone but it also applies to other areas of life.

They say it takes about three weeks of doing something regularly to form a habit out of it. This means that you must stick to something and do it regularly in order for you to get used to it.

Some beginner pianists say that they don't know how to rehearse or they just can't get how it's done. If you are that keyboardist that has been playing for like 2 to 6 years and you're frustrated because you're not playing what you desire, well, let me tell you that I've been playing for 19 years but I'm still rehearsing in order to get better at playing the piano.

If you do not do what you need to do diligiently, 10 years down the line, you might still not be where you ought to be.

I've been frustrated and discouraged too, but the passion to be a better gospel keyboardist is what keeps me going.

So, I want to encourage you to not give up.
Have a mentor
Set goals for yourself
Be diligent
Never be tempted to give up

And remember, REPETITION IS THE MOTHER OF SKILL
